Brian Draws Movies is a one-person art shop run by Brian in Rochester, Wisconsin. I only collect what I need to get your order to you, answer your messages and send my newsletter if you ask for it. I never sell your information, and I never will.
What I collect
- When you order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number (if you give one) and what you bought. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach me or this website.
- When you send a message, a movie suggestion or a commission request: your name, email and what you write.
- When you sign up for my newsletter: your first name and email.
- When you visit: anonymous statistics such as which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region), the type of device and browser, and how people found the site. This comes from Google Analytics (see Cookies below).
How I use it
- To make, pack and ship your order, send order and shipping updates, and help if something arrives damaged.
- To answer your messages and suggestions.
- To send my monthly newsletter, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand what people like on the site so I can make it better.
- To keep records the law requires, such as sales and tax records.
Who else handles it
I use a few trusted services to run the shop. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google hosts this website and its data (Google Firebase, in the United States) and provides Google Analytics.
- Resend sends order emails, replies and the newsletter.
- Shippo makes the shipping labels, and USPS and UPS get your name and address to deliver your order.
I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect against fraud.
Cookies and your browser
Your cart is saved in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It is not sent to me until you check out.
Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and see how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com.
Do Not Track: this site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers, but you can use the options above to limit tracking.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any email.
- Ask me what information I have about you, or ask me to correct or delete it. I will do it unless I have to keep it by law (for example, records of a sale).
Keeping it safe
The site uses a secure connection (https), and access to your information is limited to me and the services above. I keep order records only as long as I need them for your order and for the law.
Kids
This site is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update it here and change the date at the top.
