Talking Swiss Army Man with Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I had little no expectations, but kinda knew what it was about... barely. Everything Everywhere All at Once is on the top of my list of movies to check out right now, but I haven't pulled the trigger to buy it yet and it isn't streaming anywhere. So, I watched this other movie directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan - Swiss Army Man.

A REMINDER ABOUT WHY I LOVE MOVIES

Watching this movie - even in the first few minutes I was hooked and bewildered and excited. I was surprised and disgusted and amazed. The visuals were absolutely beautiful at times, sets and costumes incredibly creative and the story was interesting throughout. I sat on my couch while the rest of the family was in bed and simply enjoyed myself for 1 hour and 35 minutes. And then thought about the movie for a while after watching... even days after.

WHAT IS SWISS ARMY MAN ABOUT?

I couldn't tell you exactly, and I don't like diving into explanations online. I like to think about, come to my own conclusions and just live there. But if there was one quote from the movie that would sum it up, it would have to be...

"But maybe everyone's a little bit ugly. And maybe we're all just ugly, dying sacks of shit, and maybe all it'll take is one person to just be okay with that, and then the whole world will be dancing and singing and farting, and everyone will feel a little bit less alone."

Check out this video where I briefly discuss the movie. And be sure to head to my shop where you can find this drawing available as an art print, mug or shirt.

Thanks! You're nice. 🤘🏻
